  • 1.5 cups red lentils
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

    Rinse lentils and soak for 10 minutes, drain.

    Heat oil in pot, add cumin seeds until they sizzle.

    Add onions, cook until golden.
